Arcade Fire The New Beatles?

(Gibson) In a new interview with the BBC, Canadian rock band Arcade Fire reflected back on their big year and revealed a particular highlight of 2010: a comparison to The Beatles made by esteemed music critic Robert Hilburn. This past summer, the former Los Angeles Times contributor e-mailed Arcade Fire frontman Win Butler to liken the fervor for the band's well-received third album The Suburbs to the kind of anticipation a new Beatles album once inspired. "[Hilburn] wrote me an e-mail as the record was coming out, and he was like, 'Guys, it kind of feels like a Beatles album is coming out," said Butler.
