.
(Rock AAA) Trent Reznor says the reason there were so few Nine Inch Nails albums was he was too scared to write them. Now he's been nominated for a Golden Globe for his work on the soundtrack of Facebook movie The Social Network, and he says the "planets aligned" for him after he shook himself out of alcoholism and self-doubt. "If I look back I can see the big gaps between records were just fear. I didn't feel confident. I thought the act of writing was terrifying," Reznor tells Tavis Smiley. "Self-examination with a close-up mirror in an antiseptic environment is what Nine Inch Nails is based on. I found myself dreading it and constantly questioning if I was good enough to do it." more on this story
