Buddy Guy and Charlie Musselwhite Lead Blues Music Awards Nominations

(Gibson) The Blues Foundation has announced the nominees for the 32nd annual Blues Music Awards. Last year's Lifetime Achievement honoree Buddy Guy and Blues Hall of Fame Inductee Charlie Musselwhite lead the pack with five nominations each, including the B.B. King Entertainer of the Year award, Album of the Year and Song of the Year.Other artists nominated in multiple categories include Derek Trucks, Eden Brent, Joe Louis Walker, James Cotton, Nick Moss, Paul Oscher and The Mannish Boys. Steve Miller earned his first Blues Music Award nod for Best Rock Blues Album and Solomon Burke was given two posthumous nominations for Best Soul Blues Album and Best Soul Blues Artist. The Blues Music Awards ceremony will be held May 5th at the Cook Convention Center in Memphis, Tennessee. Tickets for the show go on sale today (December 16), and online voting has begun. more on this story
