Orange Drive announces the latest addition in its New Year's Eve 'Jam on the Sand' lineup: Grammy nominated, singer/songwriter, Natasha Bedingfield. Natasha will grace the stage to perform for 8,000 fans on South Beach while ringing in the New Year.
Bedingfield first gained recognition with the release of her massive debut album, Unwritten, in 2006, and she has since become known for her talent in creating songs that incorporate powerful messages, yet with a an instantly appealing magic spark and infectious pop sensibility. This gift for creating for smart, substantive music has carried through all of her release, from that first album – which garnered the singer-songwriter her first Grammy nomination for "Best Female Pop Vocal Performance – to her sophomore release Pocketful Of Sunshine, which has sold nearly 3 million copies to date, and onto her latest album Strip Me, recently released on December 7th.
"British pop star, Natasha Bedingfield has a positive influence on her fans," says Gary Cioffi, CEO of Union Square Agency. "Through her lyrics, Natasha's fans have been able to connect and relate. Having Natasha Bedingfield perform on New Year's Eve at Orange Drive will be spectacular."
In total, Bedingfield has sold more than 10 million singles and albums worldwide. In addition to her latest release, Strip Me, Bedingfield can also be found collaborating with Nicki Minaj on the song "Last Change," off Minaj's debut Pink Friday, as well as with Rascal Flatts on the duet "Easy," featured on the iTunes release of Strip Me and country trio's most recent album.
Orange Drive, taking place alongside South Beach's illustrious Ocean Drive, will stretch from Sixth to Ninth Street. Kicking off on New Year's Eve day and extending through January 2nd, the street fest will host a dynamic array of events leading up to the Discover Orange Bowl Game.
