Amos Lee Announces TV Appearances

12/14/2010
.
(EMI) Amos Lee will make television appearances early next year in support of his upcoming album Mission Bell, which will be released by Blue Note Records on January 25th.

The singer and songwriter will appear on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno on January 26th, The Early Show on February 18th, and on PBS's Tavis Smiley (airdate TBA).

The first single from Mission Bell, Lee's fourth album for EMI's Blue Note Records, is "Windows Are Rolled Down," which was released digitally on November 22nd and continues to move up the AAA charts, currently sitting at #22 with more than 60 stations already playing the track after just 3 weeks.

Produced by Calexico's Joey Burns, Mission Bell is Lee's richest and most fully formed recording to date, displaying an array of emotions unified by his eclectic taste and distinctive vocals. With a remarkable set of guests — including Lucinda Williams, Willie Nelson, Iron & Wine's Sam Beam, Priscilla Ahn, Pieta Brown, and James Gadson — and the musical backing of Calexico, the album marks the arrival of Lee as a mature artist who continues to explore his musical and thematic interests.

Having already announced the winter leg of his 2011 U.S. headlining tour in support of Mission Bell, Lee has just announced a spring trek, which kicks off on March 24th at the State Theatre in Minneapolis and continues through April 9th with a show at the Variety Theatre in Atlanta.
