Here it is again as we recap 2010: (WBR) After whipping the studio audience into a frenzy with an electrifying performance of his hit single "In My Head" on American Idol April 7th, red-hot pop sensation Jason Derulo is gearing up to release his new single, "Ridin' Solo," to pop radio Wednesday, April 28th.The track follows up the triple-threat singer, songwriter, and dancer's two #1 smash hit singles, "Whatcha Say" and "In My Head" — all from his self-titled debut album, out now on Warner Bros. Records/Beluga Heights. The video for "Ridin' Solo," which was directed by Scott Speer (Ashley Tisdale, The Veronicas), will premiere on E! Online (www.eonline.com) on Thursday, April 29th at 6 A.M. PT.
The 20-year-old Miami-born Derulo has quickly established himself as one of the breakout stars of 2010. With the triple-platinum "Whatcha Say" (which spent four consecutive weeks atop the Pop chart), and the platinum "In My Head," Derulo became the first male solo artist to score consecutive #1's on Billboard's Pop Songs radio airplay chart in the chart's 17-year-history with his first two entries. "Whatcha Say," which climbed to #1 on Billboard's Hot 100, Rhythmic, and Pop charts, has sold four million copies, while "In My Head" has sold more than 2.5 million copies, both worldwide, to date. - more on this story
