iTunes announced yesterday that Eminem's Recovery was as the best-selling album of the year in their Rewind 2010 roundup.Eminem's sixth consecutive #1 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart, debuting at the top spot and racking up seven weeks at #1, Recovery has sold more than 5,600,000 copies worldwide.
The album also debuted at #1 on both the Rap and R&B/Hip-hop charts. In addition, Recovery nabbed the #1 slot around the globe, from Australia and Austria to Greece, Canada and the U.K. Eminem has sold more than 85,000,000 albums worldwide to date.
Eminem has also been nominated for more Grammys (10) than any other artist for next year's 53rd Annual Grammy Awards, including nine thanks to Recovery. Along with nominations for Album of the Year and Best Rap Album, "Love The Way You Lie" featuring Rihanna has been nominated for Song of the Year, Record of the Year, Best Rap Song, Best Rap/Sung Collaboration and Best Short Form Music Video. "Not Afraid" has been acknowledged for Best Rap Solo Performance as well as Best Rap Song. Eminem has previously won 11 Grammy Awards.
