(Gibson) A movie about legendary New York music club CBGB is in progress, according to music-news.com. Filmmakers Randall Miller and Jody Savin are working on a film bio of the departed venue, which helped launch the careers of The Ramones, Talking Heads, Blondie and many other punk era groups.Miller and Savin said the movie will "center on the real-life story of Hilly Kristal's CBGB club and its impact on the underground music scene." "This is a film about an era of music, about a place that I hung out at in New York in the early '80s and about an unsung champion of new music," Savin said. - more on this story
