Suzanna Choffel Winter Tour

12/02/2010
.
(Primary Wave) Suzanna Choffel will be touring throughout the Northeast United States during December as support for Carbon Leaf.

With stops in major markets like New York City, Philadelphia and Richmond, Choffel will bring her sultry pop sensibility to old and new fans alike who may have unknowingly heard her voice in this fall's indie movie smash Catfish, singing a cover of Jimmy Driftwood's "Tennessee Stud" through the ultimate act of kismet. Now the masses will finally be able to put a face to the name.

Catfish follows a relationship developed in the digital age that goes awry, played out deceptively over social media by a young man and woman. When the man asks the woman, admittedly an avid equestrian, to send him a song she's sung about a horse, she offers an audio rip of Choffel's "Tennessee Stud." "It's funny, because I barely remember filming the original version of 'Tennessee Stud'," explains Choffel from her home in Austin.

"I know it was a Valentine's Day show in 2009, and I had kind of screwed up the words, so after two days up on YouTube, and something like 50 hits, I asked my manager to take it down and delete the file. How crazy is it that in such a short time span, fate would step in, and it's a central piece of this story?"

Additionally, Choffel will be featured in a 48 minute concert performance as part of the new series, ME Live! From Austin. The program will air on Sunday, December 5th at midnight. The program will be available in 130 markets with a reach of 35 million households on the America One television network.
