Seems like a fitting way to end the summer. A free show on the beach from an arena level superstar! But wait there are some strings attached to the "free" tickets. Damn little print. Here are the details: Vince Gill will headline a free outdoor "Back to the Beach" concert Saturday, Sept. 25, from the beautiful Beaches of South Walton along Florida's Northwest Gulf Coast. Fans are invited to bring their beach blankets and low-back chairs to enjoy this casual concert amidst the relaxed and scenic setting at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort.
"We're showing thanks to our visitors and residents with the opportunity to experience the musical talents of legendary Vince Gill," said Dawn Moliterno, executive director of the Beaches of South Walton TDC. "We hope this will entice those who have never been to our destination with an added incentive to come and see our beautiful beaches and communities, as well as welcome back our loyal visitors who may not have made it here this summer."
Set to the backdrop of the Choctawhatchee Bay, the free outdoor concert will be held at the award-winning The Links Golf Course driving range at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort. Gates will open at 4 p.m. so guests can come early to set out their beach blankets. The concert will begin at 6 p.m.
The free show will be a ticketed event. Those who wish to secure a ticket will have one of three options: (1) register online at www.backtothebeach2010.com, (2) obtain tickets when booking stays and packages through Beaches of South Walton lodging partners, or (3) visit the Beaches of South Walton Visitor Information Center.
Vince Gill, one of the most popular and most recorded country singers of the past quarter-century and member of the Country Music Hall of Fame, is a fan of the area's beautiful beaches and charming beach communities. For those looking for another reason to attend the free concert, anyone who books three nights or more for a stay by September 30, 2010, will receive either a $250 gift card for shopping at Silver Sands Factory Stores, the nation's largest designer outlet center, or for future travel on Southwest Airlines. The rewards program is good only for stays with official Beaches of South Walton lodging partners listed on the accommodations section of the destination's website.
These incentive programs are on a first-come, first-serve basis, while supplies last. Funding for the concert and rewards program was made possible through a grant from BP.
