Scissor Sisters and Kelis To Play Isle of MTV

MTV Networks International today announced that Scissor Sisters and Kelis will perform at the Isle of MTV live music event in Malta on 30 June.
MTV and the Malta Tourism Authority are gearing up to rock Malta once more in what has become one of the highlights of the European summer music scene. Now in its fourth year, the largest open air free concert in Europe has anchored itself firmly on the summer party circuit attracting fans from all over Europe to the sun kissed island's dramatic Il-Fosos Square in Floriana to enjoy some of the best current artists.
"Scissor Sisters and Kelis are set to rock Malta this summer," said Bruce Gillmer, EVP of Talent and Music for MTVNI. "The Isle of MTV Malta Special has become one of MTV's coolest and most eclectic outdoor events. Young music fans from all over Europe get to enjoy some of the world's hottest artists and bands for free and this year's show promises to be another spectacular extravaganza! Triple BRIT Award-winning American band Scissors Sisters, who draw inspiration from disco, glam rock, pop and the club scene, will be coming to Malta to perform highly anticipated new material from the forthcoming album 'Night Work' released June 28th, Their debut album sold more than 3.5 million, putting them in the top 20 of all time in the UK and their smash hit 'Don't Feel Like Dancing' topped the charts at #1 in 10 Countries. MTV and the Island of Malta are thrilled to welcome this amazing band to Malta for this year's Summer Spectacular, The Isle Of MTV!

Award Winning Superstar and the original female Innovator Kelis will be performing at this years Isle of MTV, with songs from her new album Flesh Tone and no doubt some of her many Smash Hit World Wide Anthems. Kelis is a Brit Award winner and Grammy nominated female, who's received critical acclaim for her global success with Milkshake and her latest single, Acapella, has already been given Global Priority Status across the International network of MTV Channels and debuted as TOP 5 single in the UK! Kelis was a co-host for the 2006 EMAs in Copenhagen, and is looking forward to returning to the MTV stage as a performer:
