As part of the blockbuster Spring line-up on HDNet Concert Series, the network will present, "Paul McCartney Good Evening New York City" this Sunday, May 2 at 8:30 p.m. ET.In this electric concert, filmed at the July 2009 opening of Citi Field in New York City, McCartney effortlessly incorporates dazzling performances of Beatles hits like "Drive My Car," "Back in the USSR," "Hey Jude," "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band," and "Paperback Writer" with Wings standards such as "Live and Let Die," "Band on The Run" and "Jet." McCartney also includes his solo works such as "Dance Tonight," and "Flaming Pie."
The concert, performed at the site of the former Shea Stadium held special significance not only for McCartney but also for generations of his fans. The shows were performed on the same hallowed ground that The Beatles played the 34-minute show in 1965 that would set the precedent for the modern day stadium rock show.
