A movie based on the life of Ozzy Osbourne is to go into production imminently. Blabbermouth have reported that Sharon Osbourne said of these plans: "There's about to be a big announcement. It's been picked up and it's going into production. more

Volcanic ash meant the Metallica had to take the train to Russia for their gig. But that inconvenience seemed small for frontman James Hetfield after he was allegedly robbed in a Moscow restaurant. Hetfield claims he and his bandmates had steaks and salads worth around 8,000 roubles ($270). The frontman paid by card, but later he saw that he had been billed over 19,000 roubles – that is twice the bill. more

Things might not be over for the supergroup of Glenn Hughes, Joe Bonamassa, Derek Sherinian and Jason Bonham, despite recent (original) comments from producer Kevin Shirley. Glenn Hughes posted the following on Twitter, "Don't worry, we have made an amazin' album. We ain't splittin' up." and Shirley was "urged to amend" his earlier comments, read what he says now here

Idlewild will go their separate ways once they conclude their current U.K. tour - blaming the hiatus on a lack of "demand" for their music. The band will take an extended break after they wrap up a series of gigs in Britain and Ireland in May. more

Backstageaxxess.com recently caught up with Aerosmith guitarist for a rare interview. When asked about the prospect of a new Aerosmith CD, Brad responded, "Well, we certainly would like to finish it. We started it about three times now over the past five or six years and just can't seem to finish it. Or something happens and it gets disrupted and we stop and we don't return to it. So we are going to, after this touring is over, we are going to try to do it at that point. I guess we will have to see where everyone is at and if everyone is still into it." more
