At first glance the two may seem an unlikely pairing, yet a mutual admiration and similar success stories at radio brought them together organically. Morton is a musical veteran who came to find later-in-life critical acclaim for his solo career in Europe, after establishing himself as the sound engineer for the most famous address in Britain, 10 Downing Street. Sharif is a Virginian born singer-songwriter with an Egyptian/American heritage who plays catchy roots oriented pop music with a slew of TV credits to his name including Supernatural, No Reservations, South of Nowhere and 16 and Pregnant.

Both artists buck the traditional stereotype with their storied backgrounds and solid songwriting skills that reflect their hard-working artist mentality. This tour will be Finlay's second trip playing in the U.S. His new CD Back to Basics began taking off at Triple A radio earlier this year with airplay of his single "The Circus" (*87 FMQB). Through it all Morton continues his day job covering historical events as they happen while balancing his status as a burgeoning solo musician and the extended commitment that comes along with that. Finlay's stateside manager Dave Darus reflects upon the decision to bring Finlay over for a radio based tour with Sharif, "it's not enough to have a song on radio. An artist has to go into the market, and support radio with live interviews and performances to connect with fans and grow their brand."
