Whitechapel have just released the new track The Darkest Day of Man, off of the band's 3rd full-length release (second for Metal Blade), A New Era of Corruption due out June 8th. "The first single we have released from the new album A New Era of Corruption is titled 'The Darkest Day of Man'. We played it live during our overseas touring at the beginning of this year in Australia and the UK and were getting a great response from the crowd for it. I feel this song perfectly demonstrates how we have progressed as a band musically and in our song writing, but have not stepped away from our signature Whitechapel sound," comments guitarist and founding member Alex Wade. Artwork for A New Era of Corruption was handled by Brent Elliot White who has also worked with bands such as Job for a Cowboy and Carnifex. A New Era of Corruption features guest vocals from Vincent of The Acacia Strain ('Murder Sermon') and Chino from the Deftones ('Reprogrammed to Hate'), and features 11 new tracks with a bonus track available to those purchasing the album through iTunes or on vinyl. n support of the upcoming release of A New Era of Corruption, Whitechapel is hitting the road to play about 30 dates, most of which are with label mates Job for a Cowboy and Cattle Decapitation including stops at the New England Metal and Hardcore fest and the California Metal fest. Then come the summer, Whitechapel will be on the road as a part of the Warped Tour Twenty Ten. Track listing: 1. Devolver 2. Breeding Violence 3. The Darkest Day of Man 4. Reprogrammed to Hate 5.
