The Flaming Lips and Stardeath And White Dwarfs Late Night TV

04/16/2010
.
The Flaming Lips, will trip across your TV screens this Friday night on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. This special televised event will be the first and only of its kind as The Lips will be joined by their Oklahoma City brethren and label-mates Stardeath And White Dwarfs to perform a song from their version of Pink Floyd's legendary album, The Dark Side Of The Moon.

As previously announced, THE LIPS and SDWD have combined forces to record and updated and daring interpretation of the 1973 classic album under the title of "The Flaming Lips, Along With Stardeath And White Dwarfs With Peaches Doing 'The Dark Side Of The Moon."

Originally an online only digital release, Dark Side has been pressed on especially beautiful color vinyl in a deluxe gatefold sleeve and will be for sale to the world this Saturday, April 17th, otherwise known as Record Store Day.

Each pressing will also contain the complete album on CD as an added bonus. A standard CD of Dark Side will be released two weeks later on May 4. In support of Record Store Day, The Lips and SDWD will perform a song from the album live on the Late Show with Jimmy Fallon, this Friday night, April 16th, the night before Record Store Day. Stay at home or set your DVR, you won't want to miss this one time-only happening airing at 12:35AM EST/PST and 11:35PM CT on NBC. Check local listings for details.
