What started as a modest plan to help independent record stores survive has turned in to a major annual event complete with special releases and special events including the chance to meet your favorite stars. The latest two stars to announce in-store appearances represent the wide spectrum of popular music: Alice in Chains and Ben Folds. Here are the details to their respective events:Alice In Chains will be celebrating Record Store Day 2010 at Gallery of Sound in Wilkes-Barre, PA this Saturday, April 17. Come by to meet the guys between 1:30 and 3:30pm at 186 Mundy St, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702. Ben Folds will be at Magnolia Thunderpussy Records in Columbus, OH this Saturday, April 17, for Record Store Day. He'll be working the register, taking trash out, alphabetizing records and just hanging out.
