Irish thrashers Gama Bomb are kick off a tour of their homeland today (15th April) with support from labelmates and Liverpool crossover thrashers SSS.Gama Bomb will be tearing their way around the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland with SSS on the first leg of the "Back to the Fu-tour". Following the Irish shows, Gama Bomb will continue the tour around the UK with Mutant.
Gama Bomb frontman Philly Byrne comments: "SSS and ourselves have always shared a love of cups of tea, visits to the zoo and making our own packed lunches, so it's an ideal pairing we're looking at for this Irish tour. We've had a great reaction from our Irish fans to the announcement of the shows and we can't wait to do the gigs. Really, we love gigging where we feel most at home, and where people understand us best."
SSS bassist Mark Magill adds: "This is our first time in Ireland and Northern Ireland, and we are bursting with excitement at the thought of seeing the home of those big Guinness hats. Won't be kissing the Blarney Stone, but we will be looking for the Phil Lynott statue, RIP. Come down and say hello. We couldn't be happier at helping Gama Bomb start their UK/Ireland tour."
