The Futureheads will be hitting U.S. shores early this summer to play a set of shows in support of their upcoming release, The Chaos, set to drop June 1 on NYC based Dovecote Records. The tour, which is the band's first US tour in more than four years, will kick off with a special record release show on June 1st in Brooklyn at The Music Hall of Williamsburg and take the band through major markets on the East Coast before it wraps in Chicago on June 12 at Lincoln Hall. Stay tuned for West Coast tour dates to be announced in the coming weeks.
Seven years since the release of their first record, The Futureheads have long since outgrown scenes, shed immediate ties with their post-punk and new wave influences and outlived many of their peers as a real British favorite. Following high profile tours with The Pixies and Foo Fighters, the band retreated into the studio to record the 11 brilliant and exciting tracks that make up The Chaos. On this, their fourth release, the band have taken their signature sound and blasted right through their own mold for what is arguably the foursome's most riotous album to date.
