(antiMusic) Welcome to Singled Out! where we ask artists to tell us the inside story of their latest single. Today we have a special treat as music legend Hank Williams Jr. tells us about not one, but two songs! He tells us about his current hit single "Red, White & Pink-Slip Blues" and also tells us about "All The Roads," a song he recorded with The Grascals which is getting some healthy airplay on country radio at the moment. We now turn it over to Hank for a little bit about each song:All The Roads (with the Grascals)--I wrote that in Montana at least 15 years ago. They were plowing the snow and the song took maybe ten minutes. It's bluegrass, which is something I love. You can tell by the way I'm singing this that I'm into it. It's like I'm on the Opry, standing there with Bill Monroe. Red, White & Pink-Slip Blues--Once I heard "Eighteen months and two days ago/the mill closed down and moved to Mexico" on the demo, I really got into it. Then you get to that powerful chorus. A lot of people have let me know they're all over it and what it says. Especially with these economic and political times, it represents the views of a lot of people. Hearing is believing. Now that you know the story behind the song, listen for yourself - right here!
