(MVD) Mortal Music and MVD Audio are proud to announce the digital release of Lock 13's Inner Enemy on September 8th worldwide. Mixing both classic and modern metallic sounds - without sacrificing the importance of melody - the Birmingham, AL-based trio, Lock 13, are about to make major waves with their latest album, the digital-only release, Inner Enemy. Comprised of vocalist Jon Childers, guitarist Drew Hall, and drummer Brad Aaron, the band recently signed with the label Mortal Music - the label founded by Tim King (SOil) and Rob Such (Twelfth Gate, Chicago Powerfest). "When I first heard Lock 13, I immediately thought of them as a band that makes timeless music," states King, SOil bassist and co-founder of Mortal Music. "This is such a rare trait in bands today, especially since trends go so fast, and disposable heroes are a dime a dozen" Mortal Music quickly signed the band and King began working on songs with them to add to thier new album. Shortly thereafter, Lock 13 hunkered down at Bieler Brothers Studio with producer Tadpole (Disturbed, 3 Doors Down, Plain White T's). The album was then mixed by Ulrich Wild (Pantera, White Zombie, Deftones, Seether), and the results are sure to catch the ear of admirers of rock/metal fans, as evidenced by such standout tracks as "Can You" and "Faded." The band has built a solid fan base in the south and has toured as far as Chicago and Los Angeles to spread their music. Having performed with the likes of breaking Breaking Benjamin, Shinedown, and 3 Doors Down, the band plans to hit the road in support of the new release with dates to be announced soon.
