(Vagrant) Southern and Southwestern fans of HORSE The Band's wild live show can now rejoice in knowing that the band will be headlining in a town nearby this fall. The tour kicks off on October 2 in Fort Worth, TX and wraps up on October 12 in Las Vegas, NV, with iwrestledabearonce along for the ride as main support.
The jaunt also encompasses the release date for HORSE The Band's fourth album Desperate Living, which coincides with their show in New Orleans on October 6.
To celebrate both the tour and the release of the new record, HORSE the band is also selling a special CD and ticket bundle for select shows. Available via the Vagrant webstore (here), the bundle will cost fans only $12 plus shipping.
Following the Earth Tour in 2008, HORSE The Band's self-booked and self-financed tour of 45 countries, they were eager to inject something else into their art. Elements of new wave now sneak into their sound, and Desperate Living also features a range of guests, including Jamie Stewart of Xiu Xiu, Jon Karel of The Number Twelve Looks Like You, and the mysterious underground rap sensation K-SLAX. Most notably, world-renowned classical pianist Valentina Lisitsa performs an impassioned version of a devastating Prokofiev piece at the end of one song. Noah Shain produced the effort at White Buffalo Studios in Los Angeles.
HORSE The Band is Nathan Winneke (vocals), David Isen (guitar), Erik Engstrom (keys), and Daniel Pouliot (drums).
