.
(PR) Kellie Pickler will headline the first concert at Country Crossing on Dec. 12, as part of the opening of Celebrity Station Amphitheatre (in Dothan, Alabama). Houston County and Matt Kennon will also perform. The gates will open at 4:30 p.m. Tickets are only available through donations to the Wiregrass Area United Way Food Bank beginning Nov. 2 through Nov. 13. The public can redeem canned foods for tickets or make monetary donations to the food bank. The terms for receiving tickets are minimum donations of five cans of food per ticket or $5 per ticket (a minimum of two tickets per person). The food bank is open Monday-Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 382 Twitchell Road in Dothan. "This is not only our first concert, but it is also our first opportunity to give back to the Wiregrass community that has supported our project so faithfully," says Ronnie Gilley, president, Ronnie Gilley Entertainment and developer of Country Crossing. "We have been blessed throughout our endeavor here and look forward to establishing Country Crossing as a first-class country music entertainment destination with many more shows to come." The Wiregrass Area United Way Food Bank is a non-profit, hunger relief charity that collects surplus food and distributes to agencies in a five-county service area that includes Houston, Henry, Dale, Geneva and Coffee counties, as well as parts of northwest Florida and southwest Georgia. Julie Gonzalez, special projects coordinator, Wiregrass Area United Way Food Bank, says "This is a dream come true for our organization and all of the charity organizations we serve. These donations will make happy Thanksgivings and merry Christmases for thousands of needy people in the Wiregrass during such lean times."
