({R) Zero 7 has announced details of their upcoming North American tour, their first in more than three years. The trek which celebrates the British duo's new album, "YEAH GHOST" will launch on November 26th at Washington, DC's 9:30 Club, and then travel the continent through December 17th for the final show in San Diego at House of Blues. Zero 7's live show features singer Eska (who appears on "YEAH GHOST") and folk collaborator Olivia Chaney as well as long time band members Eddie Stevens, Robin Mullarkey and Tom Skinner. "YEAH GHOST," available this week at all physical and digital retailers, sees Zero 7 aka Sam Hardaker and Henry Binns embarking on their brightest and boldest outing to date. The follow up to 2006's Grammy-nominated, critically acclaimed "THE GARDEN," the album is given extraordinary energy by a phalanx of new guest vocalists, including singer/songwriters Eska and Martha Tilston. Highlighted by such tracks as the dance-pop blast, "Medicine Man," and the eclectic "Everything Up (Zizou)," "YEAH GHOST" has earned early acclaim in the press. "The masters of chill continue to hone their album template by employing the talents of diverse vocalists and accompanying them with upbeat instrumentals," noted BlackBook, while Filter asserted, "
the kings of chill-out have gotten downright animated." Q commended the duo for "tinker(ing) with (their) winning formula, weaving from 'Swing''s radiant, steel drum-assisted folk to the skeletal guitar riff and eccentric percussion of 'Everything Up (Zizou)' and 'Ghost sYmboL''s brooding techno dub." Marie Claire singled out "Medicine Man" for special mention, hailing the track as "a soulful weave of finger-popping organs," commending Eska for "ticklish vocals" that are "as cool as those first autumn breezes." Childhood friends Binns and Hardaker began their musical career as sound engineers before teaming up as Zero 7 to produce remixes for the likes of Radiohead, N.E.R.D, Sneaker Pimps and Lambchop. In 2001 they captured the attention of music lovers around the world with their now-classic debut, "SIMPLE THINGS." That era-defining collection was followed in 2004 by their acclaimed second album, "WHEN IT FALLS," along with their contribution ("In The Waiting Line") to the Grammy-winning soundtrack of Garden State. "THE GARDEN" followed in 2006, featuring guest vocals from such like-minded stars as Sia and Jose Gonzalez. The album's inimitable brand of ambient soul earned Zero 7 a bounty of critical praise, not to mention a 2006 Grammy Award nomination as the year's "Best Electronic/Dance Album." Atlantic
