Following the Canadian super success of 2004's Chill 'Em All and his more recent September release of Resistance, DJ Champion is back with another highly anticipated EP. Released on Saboteur Records on November 13th, 2009, Champion's American debut No Heaven Borderlands is sure to amaze a whole new set of listeners and fans.
DJ Champion, also known as Maxime Morin, has a musical style that is constantly growing and evolving. Before releasing his second album, DJ Champion was more than eager to expand his musical horizons. Seeking solitude and escape from the public scene, he ventured out on his own to create music outside of his comfort zone. Combining elements of rock with electronic tunes, his unique style of music keeps audiences dancing. His musical experimentation also led to many honors and awards, including ADISQ'S Electro Album of the Year in 2005 and Best Show of the Year in 2006, and Socan Prize for Dance Music in 2007.
Originally being featured on his first album, No Heaven, which also features Betty Bonifassi of Beast, has gained much recognition. After being licensed by gaming company Gearbox, the single been used continually for the campaign for the new science-fiction game Borderlands. The ongoing collaboration with the game has led to NO HEAVEAN BORDERLANDS, which includes the original song and remixes of DJ Champion's music.
