Marrow Go Soph

11/06/2009
.
(PR) If John Denver believed sunshine on your shoulder would make you happy, then electronic dance group Marrow is convinced they'll deliver even greater joy by pumping some UV dBs where the sun don't shine. Sunshine Enema is the follow up to Marrow's debut, Quiet Desperation, which fueled a two-coast tour, built a national fan base, and inspired the fan-remix album, "Remix Us Miserable".

Called a "local band, but more so, an experience," by the San Francisco Chronicle, and "Band of the Week" by the Contra Costa Times, Marrow is shipping Sunshine Enema in both CD and collectable Marrow-monogrammed 'posterior pill-shaped' 1GB USB flash drives, both replete with dance beats guaranteed to flush out any impurities in your system. While Marrow's limited edition Sunshine Enema CD includes "special audio surprises", it's the USB version of the Sunshine Enema Master Cleanse kit that's bound to blow the most sonic smoke up your soon-to-be-dancing derriθre.

The Sunshine Enema Master Cleanse kit, shipped in prescription bags with daily dosage aural ingestion instructions, contains eight original tracks in digital formats, smartphone and desktop wallpapers, along with other goodies that are perfect for brightening you up from the inside out. Other Sunshine Enema merchandise, such as t-shirts, buttons, baby clothes and Flip camcorders, are available through the band's website.

Marrow's fusion of inalienable musicianship and technology draws inspiration from ground-breakingly diverse and theatrical artists like Nine Inch Nails, Depeche Mode, Fischerspooner and Aphex Twin. Marrow's amalgamation of influences, from Industrial, to Electronic, to House, combine to create riveting, layered, and captivating hook-laden dance songs and live performances often described as "living art."

Do geeks rock? Marrow will perform live in San Francisco, on December 9, 2009 at the Great American Music Hall, in support of Silicon Valley Rocks! (http://svrocks.com). All proceeds will be donated to Music in Schools Today (MuST), a Bay Area non-profit that seeks to rescue music programs from budget cuts. Order tickets online at: http://svrocks09.eventbrite.com
