(antiMusic) Welcome to Singled Out! where we ask artists to tell us the inside story of their latest single. Today Duane Allen and William Lee Golden from The Oak Ridge Boys tell us how they came record a cover of The White Stripes "Seven Nation Army" for their brand new album "The Boys Are Back". We now turn it over to them for the story:William Lee Golden: "Well, you know me. I've always loved all kinds of music. Joe Walsh was at one of our shows this year. I remember going to see Bruce Springsteen the first time he played Nashville, and the Opry House was only 2/3 full. I've always been open to new things. So I was willing to try anything that [Producer] David Cobb brought to the sessions. We're very excited about this song. Duane Allen: "David Cobb had a vision for The Oak Ridge Boys. When he sent me 'Seven Nation Army,' by Jack White, I knew that his vision was somewhere else other than where we had ever been. I didn't know The White Stripes record. And even if I had, I would never have thought to record it. And I certainly wouldn't have sung it the way I sang it. Come on, you know you are interested in hearing how this came out.
