(MMP) Steel Prophet is one of the few bands who didn't give up on their way to success and patiently trained to improve their skills with each next release. Today a power metal icon, Steel Prophet managed to overcome all the obstacles and reach their goal, blessing the metal scene with a handful of unique and unforgettable albums. Metal Mind Productions will re-release "Unseen", one of their strongest releases – a perfect blend of old-school heaviness with a surprisingly melodic vibe… Metal Mind Productions will re-release "Unseen" on 6th July in Europe and 11th August in USA (via MVD). New digipak edition is limited to numbered 1000 copies. Digitally remastered using 24-Bit process on a golden disc. The album released in 2002 featured twelve brilliant tracks, perfectly binding together the classic heavy metal substance with a surprisingly melodic approach and incorporating some major changes compared to the group's previous LPs. Undoubtedly, the biggest change must be Rick Mythiasin's vocals, who instead of power metal screeches (like on the albums "Dark Hallucinations" or "Messiah") delivers some outstanding clean singing, sounding a lot like Dave Mustaine of Megadeth (especially on the track "Blackest of Hearts"). The songs on "Unseen" seem to be much more balanced – there are of course straight-forward metal anthems like "One Way Out" and "Mirror, Mirror (Life After Life)", but this time the band was not afraid to go a bit further in experimentation. The songs "Truth" and "Rainwalker" included some rather extraordinary keyboard arrangements, while "Martyred" surprised the fans with its progressive construction. But perhaps the most significant track on the entire album was the acoustic power-ballad "Magenta" (also reprised as the last song), brilliantly highlighting Mythiasin's vocal skills. Although the LP brought a lot more variety than the previous offerings, the production remained raw and edgy, thanks to Joe Floyd (who is also a guitarist in the band Warrior). Tracklist: 1. Truth 2. Rainwalker 3. One Way Out 4. Shattered Apart 5. Among the Damned 6. Bolero 7. Mirror, Mirror, Life after Life 8. Magenta 9. Blackest of Hearts 10. Martyred 11. Killer's Confession 12. Magenta [Reprise]
