(PR) 34 West Records is pleased to announce the new CD and digital release by Detroit area recording artist FIG, titled "The Medicine Isn't Helping". FIG's new CD features 16 pop flavored tracks which showcases Matt Fig's catchy melodic hooks and memorable choruses.Fig was signed by the label in April of 2009. "I've known Matt for a while and he just keeps getting better. He is truly an independent artist who has been seriously honing his craft as a songwriter and performer", states 34 West Records President Aaron Wayne-Duke. "When I first heard "The Medicine Isn't Helping" I immediately made him an offer to come to the label. We've been working together for several years so it just made sense to finally seal the deal," he adds.
"The writing process for this album was sit down, play a few chords and start humming
That's how I always do it
Sometimes I start with the guitar, other times I use the piano
The songs for this record came together quickly and we actually recorded more material than we could use", Matt Fig said. "Music is life and every song is a piece of me", added Fig of the project.
The CD is currently available at the following digital download sites Itunes (US, UK, European Union, Japan, Canada, Australia and New Zealand), Rhapsody, Amazon MP3, Napster, IMVU, Lala, Shockhound and Amie Street. The CD will also be available through www.CDbaby.com.
