(PR) Brakesbrakesbrakes will be giving fans a concentrated dose of their acclaimed new album, Touchdown, (FatCat Records) when they return to the States in June for a performance at Bonnaroo in Manchester, Tenn. as well as a headline gig at the Mercury Lounge in New York City, June 15. These shows will mark the first time the foursome will have played in the U.S. in nearly two years and will serve as the teaser to a full U.S. tour this fall. The band's kinetic energy and clever wordplay is highlighted in latest single, "Don't Take Me To Space (Man)," a galactic rocker where frontman Eamon Hamilton pleads with an alien life form to not be taken away from his true love.
