(Blabbermouth) According to the New York Daily News, KISS bassist/vocalist Gene Simmons paid $20,000 for a pair of gold sunglasses at an auction for Wonderwall.com's Rally For Kids With Cancer campaign.He also donated his own lot to the sale where a bidder paid $100,000 for exclusive backstage access to a KISS show.
A guest at the auction, which raised more than $400,000, tells the New York Daily News, "[Gene] bought 18-karat gold sunglasses for $20,000, among other things. Gene also donated a trip with his band when they travel on their tour." - more metal news from Blabbermouth
