(PR) JD Souther, the legendary singer-songwriter whose career has been highlighted by numerous hit recordings of his songs by a broad range of artists including the Eagles, Linda Ronstadt, Bonnie Raitt, James Taylor and others will be on the road again this spring with newly announced tour dates in support of his first studio album in 25 years. The album, If The World Was You, was released on the Slow Curve label (distributed through Sony RED) last fall to critical acclaim and catalyzed the artist's first foray into performing live in almost a quarter century. He undertook a North American tour as well as select dates in Japan that began late last year and will be back this spring for a coast-to-coast tour with Jill Sobule on the bill in support.
Commonly credited with being one of the principal architects of the California country-rock sound, Souther is expected to perform a number of the songs he's written for other artists including "New Kid In Town," "Best of My Love" and "Faithless Love" while showcasing the new songs from If The World Was You that were recorded over the course of the past year in Nashville where he now resides.
