(antiMusic) Oh No Not Stereo's new album '003' hits stores this week and to celebrate we asked Sky Nielsen (vox, gtr, etc) to give us the inside story to five favorites from the effort. Here is Sky with today's song "A World of Your Own":This one is about another experience I had with my crazy mother. She divorced my dad while we were on our first national tour, and after she cleaned his house out, we came through and stayed with him to make sure he was happy and on track to getting over her. I saw the piano that had been in our house since I was young was STILL there. It was the only thing she didn't take.
So, with my dad's permission, we loaded it up and took it back to LA with us. Halfway home, I got a phone call saying she had filed charges against me for Grand Larceny, and if I didn't have the piano back within ten days, I would be arrested. Best part of the story: I wrote this song about how nuts she is, and I wrote it on that piano that's still in my room.
