Yeah Yeah Yeahs CD Coming A Month Early

03/04/2009
.
(antiMusic) So you thought you would have to wait until April 14th to buy the new Yeah Yeah Yeahs album, 'It's Blitz!'. Not so. You can download it illegally right now but if you actually want to support the band you will be able buy it legitimately starting next week.

Apparently the album leaked out and as often happens when that happens, the powers that be decided that releasing the album a bit earlier than originally planned would be a good idea.

The album is being released digitally next week (Tues in the U.S. - Monday for the rest of the world) and the physical CD will hit shops on March 31st in the U.S. and April 6th everywhere else.

The band blogged about this development on Myspace: "The cat's out of the bag after IT'S BLITZ! escaped from our clutches into the big bad world last week. Why should some have and some have-not?

"YYYs have been brimming with nervous excitement in anticipation of releasing this record to the world! Leaks are NO FUN but it's out of our hands."
