(PR) Three-piece pop-rock band MIGGS is set to perform their latest single, "Perfect," on "Good Morning America" on Tuesday, July 7th. "'Good Morning America' prides itself on being on the cutting edge of bringing new artists to our viewers around the country," says ABC publicist Bridgette Maney. "We are looking forward to having Miggs join us at GMA.""Getting the call to perform on GMA is the equivalent of winning a Grammy for an indie band like MIGGS," says lead singer Don Miggs. "It would take us two years to reach the number of people we will be able to with one three and a half minute appearance."
Premiere Radio Network will be teaming up with GMA and MIGGS to give two Premiere Radio listeners the chance to be first in line for the July 7th performance and to hang with the band. A portion of the proceeds from the promotion will support City of Hope, one of America's best cancer hospitals (as ranked by US News & World Report). Other artists who have taken part in supporting City of Hope include the Jonas Brothers, Justin Timberlake, Honor Society, Plain White T's, and One Republic. Says Alissa Pollack of Premiere Radio Networks: "As Sr. VP of Music Initiatives for Premiere Radio Networks, I get the opportunity to work with a ton of new and developing talent as well as the existing superstars of today. When I was introduced to MIGGS, I instantly recognized them as a rising star and it is my pleasure to be a part of it all right now."
"Perfect" is the second single from their 2009 release, "Unraveled." The video for "Perfect" has been added to FUSE-TV for airplay beginning in July, and it's already receiving play on Music Choice, and in Footlocker stores as part of their in-store video airplay program. "Perfect" follows on the heels of the success of their first single from the album, "I Believe," which peaked at the #8 spot on FMQB's AC chart last summer. Don Miggs also recently penned the theme song for this year's State of Florida tourism campaign, "Share a Little Sunshine" (http://www.visitflorida.com/share/).
