(Blabbermouth) Zhan Sagadeev (a.k.a. Jan Sagadeev, Jean Sagadeev), the vocalist the legendary Russian rock band E.S.T. (Electro Shock Therapy) which combined elements of hard rock and Russian folk music, was found dead in his apartment by his wife on June 4, 2009. He was 41 years old. Although suicide is suspected (Sagadeev apparently hung himself with a telephone cord), an investigation is underway to determine the exact cause of death. E.S.T., along with AC/DC, Metallica, The Black Crowes and Pantera, made metal history when they performed at the very first open-air rock festival to be held in the former Soviet Union. (Black Crowes are metal?) Captured on film, the "For Those About To Rock... We Salute You: Monsters in Moscow" DVD presents a concert feature signalling the arrival of a new political order, demanded by the people and heralded in by the sounds of some of the biggest names in rock music. - more on this story
