(Earache) The Richmond, VA crossover leaders, Municipal Waste have a new album coming out on August 25th. Entitled Massive Aggressive, this album brings the promise of the band's most ferocious and most focused album of their career. With such ferocity flowing through the whole of the album, the band knew they needed the right visuals to compliment the vibe of the music. According to Municipal Waste vocalist, Tony Foresta, the only man who could get that imagery just right was Andrei Bouzikov, the artist responsible for the cover to 2007's The Art Of Partying. "We wanted to work with Andrei Bouzikov again because he is like a brother to us;" says the Municipal Waste vocalist. "He is one of the few people that can tolerate me and Ryan's insane pickiness and attention to detail. Not only that but he is multi talented and can do many different styles of art and understands exactly where we are coming from." The attitude on Massive Aggressive is quite different than any other Municipal Waste record and the band needed the artwork to make it apparent from the very first glance. "We knew we wanted to stray away from the traditional painted covers that so many new "Thrash" bands seem to be doing since Hazardous Mutation came out;" says Tony. "We wanted the artwork to go a different direction the same way that our music has. I think we have achieved it." Overall, Tony and the rest of the band feel it's a perfect representation of where the band is today and show much gratitude for how it turned out. "I'm really happy with it. It's my favorite one yet. Thanks Andre!" View the cover for Municipal Waste's Massive Aggressive - here
