Mower Party

07/20/2009
.
(Submitted News) San Diego, CA's Mower have taken the insanity of their backstage antics and captured it on film for their new video "The Party", which can be seen online.

The video features two elements that are synonymous with the San Diego based band; wild women and outrageous parties. "The Party" is the lead track on Mower's new album "Make It a Double", which hits stores on July 28th through Suburban Noize.

"The video shoot for 'The Party' was the most fun out of all our videos. We had one night to call a bunch of girls and invite them to the shoot. We bought as much booze as we could, threw a party and filmed it. No script, no acting, just a bunch of people getting drunk, singing and listening to the same song 100 times and we had a blast," says Mower frontman Brian Sheerin. "It's a whiskey drinkin', Jager shooting rock n' roll song about the good times we've had partying up the coast in Los Angeles and a great way to kick off our new album 'Make It A Double'."

Mower's "Make It A Double" is the group's third studio album for Suburban Noize Records and features guest appearances by Rob Caggiano (Anthrax), Mikey Doling (Snot), Roy Mayorga (Stone Sour) and Fernando Apodaca (Mad Juana). The effort was recorded in Los Angeles, CA with producer Eddie Wohl (Anthrax, 36 Crazyfists) and includes nine new Mower tracks that harness the band's explosive live energy and six songs by Mower's jazz lounge alter-ego, Slower, that experiment with creepy riffs and hazy, mellow tones. The album is available for pre-order at www.SubNoizeStore.com and comes with a limited edition autographed.

Mower, the San Diego based powerhouse some call "California's hardest working band", have been assaulting audiences since the release of their 2003 self-titled debut. The band's insane live performances have stole the show on tours with (Hed)pe and Diecast, while going toe-to-toe opening for heavy hitters like Disturbed, Linkin Park, P.O.D, as well as metal's golden gods Metallica and Slayer . Meanwhile the group's anthem for traffic jams, "Road Rage", spent four months in a row on Sirius Satellite Radio's Hard Attack, as one of the station's requested songs

"Make It A Double" unleashes Mower's heaviest songs to date while experimenting with a new style of punk jazz that plays out like a twisted lounge act in a Tarantino film. One minute the band is coming at listeners, guns blazing and in the next moment they're sipping martinis in 3-piece suits grooving to an infectious jazz beat.
