(PR) Pacific Theater is set to release their debut full-length album, "Animals at Night", on August 11th, 2009. "Animals at Night" is the culmination of two years worth of song writing and performing. Recorded and mixed in Farnham, Quebec at Petite Ιglise by Mark Lawson (Unicorns, Final Fantasy, Beirut), the record blends current indie rock sounds with new wave influences, ambient textures and a shoegazer sensibility. Simultaneously, each song establishes new, energetic and wholly original sounds. "Animals at Night" is a work filled with emotional climaxes, tasteful nuances and great music.
Pacific Theater formed in the spring of 2007 when Dan Ryan and Adam Travis met as co-workers at New York City's venerable Bowery Ballroom.
The duo began playing music together and quickly added Ryan's friend and former band mate in The Station Myth, Daniel Bellury. The trio played shows and began composing songs for their debut. Spring 2008 marked the addition of Gina Yates. Adam and Gina previously wrote music together after college at Northwestern University where Gina studied music. Being an accomplished songwriter and musician in her own right, she brought new layers to the music and completed the lineup.
Pacific Theater are currently playing shows on the East Coast, planning a U.S. tour in support of "Animals At Night" and writing new material for their sophomore release.
