(PR) Acclaimed British singer and songwriter PJ Harvey and collaborator John Parish have announced that they will perform at the SXSW (South By Southwest) Music & Media Conference in Austin, Texas on Saturday, March 21st ahead of the launch of their collaborative album 'A Woman A Man Walked By'.The SXSW Music And Media Conference is a legendary festival and industry conference showcasing more than 1,800 musical acts of all genres from around the globe on over eighty stages in downtown Austin, TX. SXSW 2009 is March 18-22.
After SXSW, the pair, backed by a band comprising of Eric Drew Feldman, Jean Marc Butty & Giovanni Ferrario, will then head to LA for an intimate show at the El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles on March 23rd, and will perform on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno (NBC) on March 24th.
Then they head to New York for a show at the Fillmore @ Irving Plaza on March 26th. These dates precede the release of their new album 'A Woman A Man Walked By', out March 31. The shows will feature music from their forthcoming album as well as their first collaboration, 1996's 'Dance Hall At Louse Point'. These shows will go on sale February 14th.

'A Woman A Man Walked By' was produced by John Parish and PJ Harvey, and mixed by Flood, with whom Parish and Harvey last worked together on White Chalk. The three collaborated for the first time more than a decade earlier on Harvey's third studio album, her 1995 breakthrough To Bring You My Love, one of Rolling Stone magazine's Top 500 Albums, featuring the Top 40 hit, "Down By the Water."
