There has been a lot of speculation about Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler and whether or not he has returned to using drugs. Members of the band wondered publicly if Steven had slipped back into addiction recently when Tyler had a messy public split with the band, which turned into him wanting to take a couple of years off to focus on other projects including his memoires. One question has been answered. Tyler issued a statement to People magazine telling them that he has entered a rehabilitation facility for pain management and an addiction to prescription painkillers. In the statement, Tyler also expresses the hope of soon returning to work with Aerosmith.
Here is part of what he had to say: "With the help of my family and team of medical professionals, I am taking responsibility for the management of my pain and am eager to be back on the stage and in the recording studio with my bandmates Joe Perry, Joey Kramer, Tom Hamilton and Brad Whitford," Tyler says in a statement released to People.
