.
Having recently wrapped up U.S. their tour with Metallica, heavy metal heavyweights Lamb Of God, are celebrating their latest accomplishment, a nomination for a Grammy Award. The nomination is in the "Best Metal Performance" category for the track "Set to Fail" from their #2 debuting album "Wrath" which was released on Epic Records in 2009. Drummer Chris Adler had the following to say about Lamb Of God's second Grammy nomination: "We are honored to be nominated once again. Regardless of the outcome, we are in very elite company and it's a proud moment for us and our fans. Thank you for recognizing us, we can't wait for the afterparty!" Guitarist Mark Morton commented on their nomination as well: "Wow...our second Grammy nomination! Who would've thought?? As cool as it is to even be considered for such an award, the real thrill is that we're in the running alongside some of metal's greatest and most legendary acts. This is a lot of fun...thanks to everyone that voted us in." Lamb Of God are no strangers to the Grammy Awards, as they were previously nominated in the "Best Metal Performance" category for their song "Redneck" from 2006 album "Sacrement". As was the case in 2006, the Lamb guys are up against some serious competition from Metal Forefathers and legends including: Slayer, Judas Priest, Megadeth and Ministry. The band is currently on tour in Australia and New Zealand, and will be back on the road in 2010 to lap the world again in support of their latest album, 'Wrath', which exploded onto the Billboard 200 back in February of 2009 debuting at #2 and selling over 67,000 units in its first week.
