Cobra Starship Are A Hot Mess

08/24/2009
.
(PR) "Hot Mess," the acclaimed new album from Decaydance/Fueled By Ramen recording group Cobra Starship, has made a phenomenal chart debut on this week's Billboard 200.

The collection – which includes the smash single, "Good Girls Go Bad (Feat. Leighton Meester)" – entered the album chart at #4, marking the New York-based band's highest chart ranking to date.

Produced by Kevin Rudolf (Lil' Wayne, Justin Timberlake, Kanye West), "Good Girls Go Bad" is proving to be Cobra Starship's biggest hit single thus far, currently ranking among the top 10 tracks on Billboard's "Hot 100."

The single – recently certified gold by the RIAA, with sales in excess of 800,000 – is also a favorite at Mainstream Top 40 radio, where it is a bulleted top 10 blockbuster.

A true online sensation, "Good Girls Go Bad" has already logged over 48 million streams at Cobra Starship's popular MySpace page, conveniently located at www.myspace.com/cobrastarship. The track is currently #1 on the iTunes "Top Alternative Songs" tally, with its companion video standing tall at #2 on the "Top Alternative Music Videos" chart.

Cobra Starship are currently wrapping up their "Hot Mess Across The US" summer headline tour, set to conclude on August 31st with a sold-out show at Providence, Rhode Island's Club Hell (see attached itinerary).

In October, the dance-[pop] sensations will hit the road once again, this time as part of the "OP Presents: Boys Like Girls, Cobra Starship, The Maine, A Rocket To The Moon and Versa Emerge tour." The band will join Boys Like Girls on the major North American trek beginning October 17th at Milwaukee's Eagles Ballroom and continue through a two-night-stand at Foxboro, Massachusetts' Showcase Live on November 27th and 28th. Also appearing on the tour will be The Maine and Cobra Starship's Fueled By Ramen labelmates A Rocket To The Moon and VersaEmerge.
