(PR) Australia's Goons of Doom will release their second LP, I Hate My Hair and Want To Die, in the U.S. on October 20, 2009 via Volcom EntertainmentIn mid-September Goons of Doom will embark on a short Southern California tour (all dates/venues below), it will be their first time back in the U.S. in 3 years. I Hate My Hair and Want To Die is - as described by the band themselves - songs and sounds of pirates and adventures and romance on the clipper, immortalized for the hip set, the lonely loser, the sentimental soul and gutter trash f***s alike and of course for future generations to dissect and examine and analyze. In truth, I Hate My Hair and Want To Die, is garage rock in the original sense with elements of fire and brimstone, softened bellies and a (really) tweaked surf folk. Diversity and unpredictability is Goons of Doom's kick. A mixed-genre band with a jagged sense of humor, Australia's Goons of Doom are four lifelong surf buddies from the suburb of Narrabeen, led by legendary free surfer, Ozzie Wright. On drums is Cowboy, Killer Whale plays the keys and lead guitar, Vaughan Dead owns rhythm and vocals, and Ozzie plays bass and sings. 9/10/2009 San Diego, CA - Bondi Bar 9/12/2009 Pomona, CA - The Glass House 9/16/2009 San Clemente, CA - O.C.
