Velvet Revolver Guitarist Gets Emmy Nom

(PR) Dave Kushner (Velvet Revolver) has received a 2009 Emmy nomination for "Outstanding Main Title Theme Music" for the title track from the FX television series Sons Of Anarchy. Kushner collaborated with award-winning producer and songwriter Bob Thiele Jr. on the music. Commenting on the recent nomination and creating the theme music for the show, Kushner said, "Can you think of a cooler show to work on than one titled Sons of Anarchy? This show symbolizes the spirit of rebellion that rock n' roll is all about. 'Sons' is an incredibly intense drama about family and the things we do for love and money when we're not presented the same opportunity others are." He continues: "To echo the sentiments of my ole' pal Bob, I am honored to be recognized by and to receive this nomination from the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences."
