(Atlantic ) The South Carolina-based rock outfit Needtobreathe consists of brothers Bear and Bo Rinehart and childhood friends Seth Bolt and Joe Stillwell. Their new album The Outsiders will be released on August 25th! Be captivated by their ability to mend warm, organic textures to their powerful brand of skyscraping, heartfelt rock. The latest single "Something Beautiful" is featured in the highly esteemed USA Today playlist. With their new album The Outsiders, NEEDTOBREATHE has truly come into their own, seamlessly blending ambient, arena-ready soundscapes with a decidedly Southern sensibility. The band co-produced The Outsiders with three different producers: Jim Scott (Tom Petty's Wildflowers, Wilco), Rick Beato (Shinedown, Jump Little Children) and John Alagia (Dave Matthews Band, John Mayer).
Catch Needtobreathe alongside Griffin House on their headlining summer tour. It is truly magic when the band takes the stage. The band has honed their live show the old-fashioned way – putting in the time, spending years on the road. Aside from their skillful musicianship, there's a spontaneous energy that intangibly connects them with their audience. The OC Register recently praised Needtobreathe's live show, stating that "rising outfit NEEDTOBREATHE was a revelation."
In 2006 the band released their major label debut, Daylight, and had a relentless, national touring schedule. Despite being on the road nearly non-stop, Needtobreathe returned the following year with The Heat, which went to #2 on the Heatseekers chart and spawned the hit single "More Time," a top 10 success at Triple-A radio (sitting alongside established artists like Coldplay and Jack Johnson). The band's music has been featured on MTV's "The Hills," and countless other TV and film placements, including their top 10 hit "More Time" which was the most downloaded track on the soundtrack for the major motion picture P.S, I Love You.
