(Filter) Wolfmother are back, with a different lineup, a new album, and a new single. "New Moon Rising," the first single off Cosmic Egg is a psych-rock anthem, fueled by hefty guitar licks and the power of singer Andrew Stockdale's arena-worthy voice. The seeds for Cosmic Egg were sown when the touring cycle for the debut record came to a close, and front man and guitarist Andrew Stockdale sat down to start from scratch at his home studio in Brisbane. Following an extensive gestation period and the enlistment of new band members, Stockdale and his band, with producer Alan Moulder, rode ashore in the transcendental city of Byron Bay, Australia, to begin pre-production.
In support of Cosmic Egg, the newly re-formed band- (Stockdale [Vocals/Guitar], Ian Peres [Bass/Keys], Aidan Nemeth [Guitar], and Dave Atkins [Drums]) will journey across the USA in support of The Killers through late August / early September.
