(MSO) The American rock group MAE have announced they'll release (M) ORNING, (A)FTERNOON and (E)VENING, a collection of EP's April through December 2009 on Cell Records.MAE has committed to offer 100% of the proceeds from the digital sales of (M)ORNING, (A)FTERNOON and (E)VENING to fund humanitarian and charitable projects. Each month, MAE is offering a song as a digital download and all songs can be purchased for a minimum donation of $1 on www.whatismae.com.
"From the beginning MAE has been about making music and using our voice to help serve as a bridge to connect people and build community," explains drummer JACOB MARSHALL. "For the entirety of 2009, our desire is to be the change we want to see in the world." Since January, MAE has raised over $35,406.60. The group has partnered with their local Habitat for Humanity in Newport News, VA to build a house for Rhonda Floyd, a local resident in need of a home.
In touring news, fans can expect to hear many of the new songs from the (M) ORNING, (A)FTERNOON and (E)VENING EP collection now, as MAE is currently in the midst of a U.S. headlining tour with Person L, Barcelona and Tokyo (see full itinerary below). The (M)ORNING, (A)FTERNOON and (E)VENING EP collection marks the group's first release since their critically acclaimed album Singularity (2007).
