(PR) Minneapolis-based band Ice Palace have wrapped recording of their sophomore album, Wonder Subtly Crushing Us, and have announced dates with Cloud Cult and Say Hi to support.Wonder Subtly Crushing Us follows Ice Palace's acclaimed 2007 debut album, Bright Leaf Left. The new album is the next phase in the ongoing development of the band's lead singer and songwriter, Adam Sorensen, and the culmination of roughly 20 years of writing and creativity. After assembling some of the best talent in Minneapolis, in some of the most unexpected recording spaces (from Minneapolis' Sound Gallery studio to a bedroom closet), the album was handed to Craig Minowa of Cloud Cult and his Earthology Studio for final mixing and production.
Fifteen years ago, Sorensen and Minowa spent a night of mutual respect writing and recording a song together on a four-track. After years of separate endeavors, the two have re-aligned on this album.
