(PR) The Acacia Strain, who just completed a six-week tour with Bleeding Through, won the Readers' Choice Award at the inaugural Golden Gods Awards, held at Club Nokia in Los Angeles Tuesday night (Apr. 7).Shortly after receiving the Golden Gods Award, the group, which is currently planning a North American summer tour, issued the following statement:
"Thanks to all our friends and fans who voted for us! It's an honor to receive such an award. We'll see you soon at New England Metalfest, Bamboozle and our 'Summer Slob' headlining tour!"
Also, the band -- who will play the New England Metal and Hardcore Festival next weekend -- have been added to day two of The Bamboozle, a festival in East Rutherford, N.J. on May 2-3 that features acts ranging from No Doubt and Fall Out Boy to Whitechapel and GWAR.
